AV-EL is a company that provides services and products, specializing in the design and manufacture of high value-added equipment and components for vehicles.
For more than 40 years, the company has been producing complete systems for thermoplastic components, constructing molds and equipment with technologically advanced know-how in injection molding, additional processing and final assembly of components.
Founded in 1979 in Villarbasse, in the province of Turin, the company initially focused on the production of electric windings for starter motors, hence the company name: AV-EL (“avvolgimenti elettrici”). Soon the business evolved and injection molding of thermoplastic materials became the company's core business as early as the mid-1980s.
The first ISO 9002 Quality Certification dates back to 1997. AV-EL is IATF 16949: 2016 and ISO 9001: 2015 certified. The system constantly undergoes internal audits to ensure the quality of all company processes.
The transfer to the current production site in I Maggio 2/5 street of Orbassano happened in 2001. To meet its production needs, the campany build ad hoc an impactful prestige factory equipped with the most advanced technologies on the market. The AV-EL production site today still remains a strategic asset for its visibility and central placement in the industrial parc of the Piedmontese automotive industry.

PRODUCTION SITE

The AV-EL plant, рighly visible from the South Ring Road of Turin, has more than 300 linear meters of extension, of which 10,850 square meters are production-logistics area and over 3,600 square meters are the offices, included 1000 meters destinated exclusively to the Research and Development laboratory. It is equipped with four 10-tonne overhead travelling cranes, an automatic system for the treatment, distribution and supply of raw materials, a compactable warehouse for finished products and a tooling area of around 500 m2 for the setting up of moulds and maintenance activities. The factory is also proud of its Production Department with 32 injection molding machines from 50 to 1000 tons, all fully monitored with a computer network, which allows AV-EL to satisfy a wide range of small and medium size productions.
